Where Life Blossoms
The Jnanabharathi Campus of Bangalore University, Bangalore, Karnataka, India has developed a Bio-park within its campus which is spread over an area of around 1319 acres. Water bodies like check dams for harnessing both surface and groundwater have been developed in this park which has contributed to the increase in water table (about 6 ft). About four lakh different types of plants have been planted within the campus which has attracted a variety of Birds, butterflies, etc. The park is also acting as a Carbon sink providing lung space within Bangalore city. As a part of creating awareness about bio-diversity and its importance, Treks & Tours are provided to School Children, College students, IT/BT employees, Home-makers, etc. We hope to encourage every individual to actively participate in protecting our environment.
